Two weeks ago I showed you the first drop of our birthday collection: a bold new Dreamworld, a black mini with class, the return of Birds of Warsaw and a brand new little black dress. I promised that throughout October I'd tell you the stories behind the next designs. Today, new pieces are joining the ALL ABOUT WOMEN collection.
What is RISK's signature? There are a few: prints, pockets, and also monochrome outfits in colours we fine-tune down to the last pigment. They simply had to be part of the collection for our 15th birthday.
A city suit in midnight navy
On top, there's the SAFARISKA shirt. It's one of those designs that will probably never go out of style: slightly oversized, with a beautiful stand-up collar and pockets. I designed it 15 years ago, right when RISK was born, and it still looks great.
Together with PRIMAVERY, our bestselling take on culottes, or with the OPEN OFFICE blazer, it creates a monochrome look. It's a modern and very comfortable version of a city suit.
For our 15th birthday, all these RISK classics got a new colour. Midnight navy is a shade I'm especially proud of. Dark and deep, yet it lights up your face and brings out the colour of your eyes. I don't know anyone who doesn't look elegant and refined in it.
Blue straight from Yves Klein's paintings
Speaking of colours… There's also the LUCY IN THE SKY sweatshirt for days when you need a little more energy, and a touch of art along the way. We borrowed its hypnotic shade of blue from Yves Klein's paintings. It catches the eye, gives you strength and stays in your memory. Because the simplest things should be the best ones. After all, they're what we wear most often.
The same intense blue already appeared in the first drop, in the NATURAL BEAUTY dress. If you fell in love with it, now you have an everyday version.
Raspberry Dolce Vita
Plus something raspberry. The DOLCE VITA long-sleeve dress in this delicious colour turns heads. It's impossible to walk past it without noticing. The draped top accentuates the waist, and the flared skirt moves beautifully. It makes you want to dance.
Black Voilà, the dress that has it all
Timeless black couldn't be missing either. The VOILÀ dress shapes the figure and has a top with a Parisian neckline, a light, romantic skirt and a slit that opens gently as you walk. The "sensual and comfortable" package also includes a soft premium knit and practical pockets. It simply has that something. Actually, it has everything.
