Because no one back then would suspect that a dressed-up girl could be politically engaged. This version of the Dreamgirl wrap dress openly talks about what’s important to us. The text on the print (among others a paraphrase of an extract of Ernest Bryll’s poem) was specially created for us by an artist and activist, Paweł Żukowski, who used original Letraset sheets, that were famous in the 70s and 80s. It’s a technique which allowed people to print leaflets, fanzines, album covers, and of course underground papers.
