HOW DO YOU MAKE…
… a black organic cotton mini the favorite dress for many years and even more occasions to come? Let her speak ;)
It’s not really a matter of what, but who. If I were to ever receive an Oscar, I would thank Agnieszka Sroczyńska in the first place. She’s the designer of many Risk bestsellers, a garment construction specialist, and a vegan cuisine expert. She was the one who invented, co-created, and caressed me. She was the one to dream of a dress that would expose the legs, but cover up the cleavage, with an oversize bodice and a fitted bottom, obviously made from eco-friendly fabric.
Yes, I realize that it’s trendy now to put on a different dress for every party, but I’m one of those you can wear hundreds of times and each time post your picture in it on Instagram with a hashtag #repeat. I have confidence woven into my DNA. Coming back to your question, a combination of Japanese minimalism (high neckline, kimono sleeves) with a soft wooly jersey has so much cool, power, and style in it that it will last you a very very very long time.
To quote a classic, ‘I was born like this’. The others did all the job. There were a lot of people engaged in the process, from the design to the final product. First, there was a drawing, an initial pattern, then a researcher looked for the fabric, which had to be discussed with the garment construction specialists and technologists. Everyone who works for our sewing contractor in Paterek says that I’m time-consuming and high-maintenance. As many as three people have to work on the belt because its stretchy fabric rotates. One person unfolds the belt at the opening of the fusing machine, another person holds the back and stretches out the unwanted folds/rolls, and the third one receives the entire thing.
It’s still ahead of me. Actually, it’s not a challenge, but more a lifelong goal – make every person that wears me feel like the most stylish, and the most uninhibited version of themselves.
The eco-friendly approach is an asset not only for the planet, but also for the person who wears me. The organic cotton, which constitutes 97% of my composition, is made without chemicals both in cultivation and in the coloring process. Thanks to this it doesn’t cause allergic reactions and it doesn’t irritate the skin. It’s more durable but at the same time light and nice to wear. It makes sense. Benefits everyone.
