Manifesto
RISKY MANIFESTO

A good dress has to emphasise figure, beauty, and intelligence.

Comfort and quality are most important to us. Trends–we let them pass.

Our “celebrities” are Women. Writers, Scientists, Musicians, Philosophers, Mothers, Sculptresses, Doctors, Athletes. People who wear our designs while doing things we admire.

We form long-distance relationships, not only with people, but also with our planet–that’s why we use European fabrics in our production, some of which obtained Oekotex, Ecolabel, FSC, EU Ecocert, GOTS, GRS or DETOX certificates.

We sew everything in Poland, because it’s worth it.
How to combine a vintage vibe with modern elegance? And how to always make a fabulous first impression? A jersey shirtdress answers.

What’s your most important trait?

It’s hard to pick just one. My personality is really complex. I consist of 23 separate pieces that you have to sew together to make me whole. Whereas, my famous friend, Dreamgirl dress, is made up of 10 elements.

What’s your favorite color?

The extra feminine and always head-turning Risk red. In my case, it wasn’t simple to obtain it. I consist of cotton in 88%, which is much harder to dye. So the manufacturer had to add pigment several times in order to achieve a color with the right saturation and level of seductiveness..

Where do you find inspiration?

If Charlie’s Angels went to the office, I would accompany them. I hate the word two-piece (sounds like twopence and Tupperware to me), but I was created as a modern equivalent of this monochromatic set, only more comfortable, more feminine, and as a two-in-one option. It’s a reference to the ‘70s not only through style, but also through the fabric because, in that time, there was a real boom for the jersey I’m made of.

How do you react to change?

Change is my middle name. According to your mood, you can regulate the depth of my neckline. Not with buttons, but with a hidden zipper that you might have come across in the design of our Liberty dress – it supports the bosom real well, it’s subtle and it doesn’t attract attention. There’s one more important trait of this zipper, it’s made of recycled materials, which means that I gave it a second life.

Tell us your biggest secret.

A solid structure. Not everyone knows that if you place a vertical cut near the bust, it nicely accentuates it and elongates the silhouette, and if you place it nearer the side, the figure optically enlarges. I want to suit girls of all sizes, so getting the proportions right was crucial.

Do you have high expectations?

Definitely. I like to have every detail perfected. The more cuts, the more to do, that’s why in Emkon Kutno there are 12 wonderful people dedicated to precise dressmaking who work on each sample of me. But I expect a lot from myself too. My goal? Be a specialist in unforgettable first impressions. Every time you wear me.
